OFX Technologies selectsprov.net as data center – colocation provider
ISAE 3402 Type 2, the replacement standard for SAS70 Type II was a key factor
Providence, R.I., July 12, 2011 – Provdotnet, LLC. A leading provider of data center solutions, today announced that it has begun providing colocation and data center services to OFX Technologies for their online services platform atprov.net’s data center in Providence, R.I.
OFX Technologies relocated their production platform which provides an on-line ticketing system for a Triple AAA minor league baseball team, an international financial management system, and a leading edge energy trading system, amongst other mission critical applications for their customers. OFX had been working with another provider, but wanted to move their platform closer to their technical staff and needed the platform to be housed in a facility that was reporting based upon the new AICPA ISAE 3402 Type2 standard. “Since we have recently completed our ISAE 3402 Type 2 audit on all necessary operational controls we were able to offer OFX a data center nearby that met their requirements for a high-availability production platform,” said Ron Sacks, Prov.net’s Managing Partner.
Sacks noted that Prov.net recently completed the ISAE 3402 Type 2 Audit which replaced the SAS70 Type II AICPA standards, and that it establishes Prov.net as one of the first data centers in New England to report under the new AICPA ISAE 3402 Type 2 standard. All reports issued with a report date after June 15th, 2011, must adhere to new AICPA standards.
