Provdotnet, LLC continues its regional expansion, secures a long-term lease for special purpose 8000 sf facility with 1 Megawatt of Power in Greater Boston.

PROVIDENCE, RI October 12,2015 Provdotnet, LLC has expanded its business to Greater Boston with a new 8000 square foot and 1 megawatt multi-tenant data center facility, the company announced this afternoon. The new facility is located in Chelmsford, MA just north of downtown Boston, and near the axis of Routes 495 and 3. Along with the Lease Provdotnet also purchased substantial infrastructure assets that were previously owned and maintained by t-mobile including all critical power, electrical distribution, and HVAC systems as part of an overall Asset Purchase and Lease Agreement.

The Chelmsford data center will be in addition to 3 data centers Provdotnet has in Providence, RI, as well as the recently announced data center in Greater Chicago managed through Provdotnet’s partnership with a local facility.

“We are extremely pleased to announce this expansion and expect to have it ready by December 2015 for customers.” Provdotnet’s CEO and Managing Partner Ron Sacks stated in a news release. “This represents a major commitment to the future of our business.” Sacks added,” purchasing the in-place assets will accelerate our time to market considerably by reducing the conversion effort and build-out to under 60 days”
